A leading voice in cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Monica Li specializes in laser dermatology and aesthetic treatments. She holds a medical degree from the University of Toronto, completed her dermatology residency at the University of Calgary, and pursued advanced training in laser skincare through a prestigious fellowship. Dr. Li is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.

Introducing Our Special Guest

DR. MONICA LI

Dr. Li is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained dermatologist, and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology + Skin Science at the University of British Columbia. She is the founder of Vancouver Skin MD, an aesthetic medical clinic dedicated to comprehensive and customized care of the skin. She has served in leadership roles with the Canadian Dermatology Association, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology and Women’s Dermatologic Society, and has been invited faculty at various national and international conferences. She is a regular voice to local and national media, having contributed to more than 100 print, radio, online and television works on topics in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. She is a passionate supporter of women’s health, and has been part of the Foundation’s annual Glow Gala committee since 2019, including as Co-Chair in 2023.

“I am deeply honoured to join the BCWHF Board, to continue championing women’s health, health literacy and research.
